Lumber Partners. The group has elected to privately fund
and assemble it's own specialized plant and equipment pool to
harvest the forest produce. Harvesting equipment has been
identified and the world's best equipment forms the harvesting
equipment pool. An investment in road haulage plant in
excess of $AUD 50 million has been initiated with further
expansions of the fleet scheduled for 2009-10. Newcastle
port handling facilities have been set utilizing the
redevelopment of the former BHP steel site. The Newcastle
port authority has guaranteed scheduled bulk freighters will not
wait t dock and load Lumber partners logs.
Shipping arrangements fall within a long-term contract with one
of the worlds largest ship owners with prices for shipping set
under the international shipping market.
